The Consumer Council (the Council) is committed to empowering consumers to protect themselves, especially the growing population of senior citizens.

To complement the Government’s efforts in promoting the “silver economy”, the Council launched the “Smart Seniors” Consumer eHub in 2026.  This dedicated website aims to provide reliable, easy-to-understand and up-to-date consumer information for senior consumers, their family members and carers, in a one-stop manner, to assist them in making smart and informed consumption choices, thereby improving quality of life, and to encourage the market toward becoming more elderly-friendly.

Key Features
  • One-stop Information Hub: Consolidate various types of consumer information relevant to seniors for easy access.
  • Elder-friendly Design: Simple and easy-to-read layout with an intuitive interface tailored for seniors.
  • Aligning with Pace: Content is regularly updated to reflect market changes and the evolving needs of seniors.

Through the “Smart Seniors” Consumer eHub, we hope to empower every senior citizen to become a smart consumer.
